About Us The Company Design Process

Fellowship Church was looking for a solution to a growing problem in their video tape library. Each week Fellowship Church was generating 16 Beta Cam tapes from filming the services that week. The tapes would then be simply stored away without any system to keep track of them. At the time we were commissioned to solve their issues there were over 6,000 tapes in the library.

Fellowship Church needed a system that would store, track, label, and barcode each tape. It needed to incorporate check-in and check-out so the tapes could be tracked.

To meet these challenges we recommended the use of a Macromedia® Flash® based application. This method improves the application’s performance as well as significantly enhancing usability. The tapes and all details about each tape are stored in a database so finding a tape and its status is just a matter of using a search screen. The system also keeps track of who checked out a tape and when. It was also necessary that the system provide data to an administrator as to what tapes are checked out and by whom.

    • Creative: User Interface Design
    • Technology: Flash Development, Programming, Server Set-Up

The tape library is now organized, indexed, and user-friendly. A specific tape in the library can now be found in a matter of seconds. Tapes can be added to the system quickly and efficiently through an intuitive interface. The new library has increased efficiency and workflow.
