A web site should not overpower the message but assist. Design influences
are subtle and elegant without creating clutter. While the user should
not have to think about the navigation, it should be instinctive and clear.
To ensure this we perform extensive usability testing to ensure that the
site is logical. Our design process evolves to meet the individual needs
and requirements of every project. Outlined below is our flexible process.
We begin by ironing out the details of your web site, the number and type of
pages, the general purpose of your site, and a general assessment of what
your web site will require. Before we begin designing your site you will be given
a detailed schedule that encompasses all aspects associated with creating your
web site
Our next step is to gather the content needed for your web site. You will need
to give us all necessary materials (images, text, logos, etc.). Once we have
acquired the content we can begin the next step.
We start out the design process by creating a design comp. This is a static
image of the look of your web site. Before we go any further the comp(s) must
be approved. We will not go any further until you are completely satisfied with
the way your site looks, once your comp is approved we will create all graphic
artwork, page headers, digitize logos, etc.
Now we begin the actual process of creating your web pages. Based on the
design comp(s) we will match the layout of the web pages to exactly or closely
match the comp(s).
Once we have finished your site we will upload it to our servers for usability testing and
approval. We will begin by testing the site for usability, accessibility, perform
link checks, test forms, and ensure that all aspects of the site are
functioning properly. Once this is done you will be able to log-on and
make final modifications to the site or a final approval.
Once the site is approved we will upload the site to your servers and do one
final check to ensure that your site is working properly. We will then give you
a master copy (on CD) of your web site for backup purposes.
